Overview

By default, Sisense header elements are controlled globally through roles or system parameters. While this works well for simple use cases, it can become limiting in multi-tenant, embedded, or governance-sensitive deployments.

This plugin addresses that gap by allowing you to configure header visibility through a simple configuration file, enabling fine-grained control without the need for code changes or complex role management.

Key Features

• Config-driven visibility: Control the visibility of header elements such as PDF export, Share, Add Widget, Overflow Menu, and more. All elements are set to true by default and can be toggled individually.
• Per-group exclusions: Use the userGroup parameter to hide specific elements for selected user groups without duplicating roles.
• Time-boxed and feature-flag behavior: Enable or disable header elements temporarily (for example, during a pilot or incident) without modifying code or redeploying.
• Granular per-tenant and per-dashboard control: Hide “PDF” on a specific dashboard for Customer A while keeping it visible for Customer B.
• No development required: All behavior is managed through the plugin’s configuration, with no additional implementation or dashboard changes needed.

When This Plugin May Not Be Needed

If your Sisense environment is single-tenant and uses the same header configuration across all dashboards, existing role-based permissions and system parameters may already provide the functionality you need.
